Is it bad luck for your fiance to go wedding dress shopping with you

A lot of people will Cocktailjurken tell you it's Korte Trouwjurk bad luck for your fianc茅 to see your gown before the big day. I'm not so sure I believe in luck, but I do believe in comfort.

As in, the comfort of both your fianc茅 and the other women in the bridal salons.

Let's be honest - bridal salons are a guys worst nightmare. They are delicate, ornate, painfully girly and most men feel dreadfully uncomfortable in those places.

Not to mention, bridal salons are a place where women feel comfortable coming out of a dressing room in various states of undress. You might need someone to zip you up or grab an underskirt. It would make a lot of other women feel very uncomfortable to have a man sitting outside the fitting room.

Trust me, your fianc茅 doesn't have an opinion as to whether he likes mermaid sheaths, strapless a-lines or empire-waist gowns. He's going to think you look gorgeous even if you showed up in a burlap bag! The point of a wedding isn't your gown - it's about the two of you getting married!

it is a superstition, but i just think that the groom shouldn see his future wife in her dress until she starts to walk down the isle. if you want him to go, then go for it. But in my situation, my fiance is helping me to plan everything. I want one little surprise for him. I want to take his breath away when he first sees me walking down the isle. But that is my own preference. and honestly, if he really loves you, you could wear any dress and he would still think of you as the most beautiful woman in the world. I doubt he Feest Jurken would ever say he wish you wore a different dress. And you can always ask what he likes or doesn like, ya know lace, ruffles, a lot of beading? if he says he doesn like a lot of lace, then you know not to include it. again your choice. but good luck!

I almost showed my fiance the dress I bought in the catalog, but then I decided not to. I am not going to let him see it before the wedding, not because of superstition, but just because I want him to be stunned on our wedding day. I just think it would be better for him to see it the first time, when it fits perfectly and I look beautiful all over.

Here is what I would do. I would get the catalog from the place you are going to go and look at it with him. Tell him to show you which ones he likes. That will give you an idea of what kind of dresses he likes.

If you are more comfortable having him there than go for it! I getting married in July and when I was looking for dresses my fiance came with me a few times (I live in a small town so wedding dress shopping was always a trip).

However, when I did select the gown that I am going to wear my fiance was NOT with me. We have had a great time joking and teasing about it. I am now glad he didn see the dress I picked. I know he will be WOW when he sees me. And, we get all the kidding around in anticipation of it. Sometimes I tell him I look like "Little Boo Peep", other time I tell him I look like "Ariel" from the Disney movie. What ever they joke is, it keep him guessing and it a lot of fun.
